Each tree planted contributes directly to reducing the effects of climate change. On average:

  • A single mature tree can absorb approximately 20–22 kg (48 lbs) of CO₂ per year 

  • Over its lifetime, one tree can absorb up to 1 ton of CO₂ 

  • A mature tree can produce enough oxygen annually to support 2–4 people 

  • Forests globally absorb about 30% of all human-made carbon emissions
